Irish folk tales in Galician translation

Tris Tram, a small publishing house based in Lugo (Galicia) had published in 1999 Contos populares irlandeses (Irish Folk Tales), an edition in Galician of the traditional stories compiled in 1892 by Joseph Jacobs in his book Celtic Fairy Tales. 

 Jacobs's book contains 26 tales collected by various folklorists among the Gaelic-speaking populations of  Ireland and Scotland. The book edited by Tris Tram contains fourteen tales of Irish origin: Connla and the Fairy Maiden [Connla e a fada], Guleesh, The Field of Boliauns [A leira dos nabos], The Horned Women [As mulleres dos cornos], Hudden and Dudden and Donald O'Neary [Hudden, Dudden e Donald O'Neary], The Story of Deirdre [A historia de Deirdre], Munachar and Manachar [Munachar e Manachar], King O'Toole and his Goose [O rei O'Toole e o seu ganso], Jack and his Comrades [Jack e o seus camaradas], The Shee An Gannon and the Gruagach Gaire [Shee An Gannon e Gruagach Gaire], A Legend of Knockmany [Unha lenda de Knockmany], Fair, Brown, and Trembling [Bela, parda e tremente], Jack ans his Master [Jack e o seu amo] and The Story-Teller at Fault [O contador de historias ao que non se lle ocorría nada].  

Tris Tram had also published in 1996 the book Contos celtas (Celtic Tales),  an anthology of folk tales of Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight and Brittany. This volume includes the Irish stories Fior Usga and The Spirit Horse [O cabalo encantado] by Thomas Crofton Croker (from Fairy Legends and Traditions of the South of Ireland, 1825-27), and The Soul Cages [As gaiolas de almas] by Thomas Keightley (from The Fairy Mythology, 1850-1870).
